GameBlazers Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

In the last 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information.

Social Security Numbers and precise geolocation are sensitive personal information. We use them only for identity verification, tax reporting, eligibility, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

2. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information to:

1. Create and manage Accounts, and confirm age and eligibility.
2. Provide the Services, including Packs, Contests, the GB Marketplace, Balance, Credits, and Redeemable Items.
3. Process payments and prizes, and ship Physical Cards.
4. Verify identity, prevent fraud, and protect the Services and our users.
5. Comply with law, including tax reporting.
6. Provide customer support and resolve disputes.
7. Enforce our Terms of Service and Official Rules.
8. Analyze and improve the Services.
9. Send service messages and, for Players aged 18 or older, marketing messages (see Section 8).

We do not use personal information for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

3. Players Aged 13 to 17

1. Under 13. The Services are not for children under 13. We ask for date of birth at signup and do not let anyone under 13 create an Account. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13, we delete it.
2. Parental consent. A Player aged 13 to 17 may create an Account only after a parent or legal guardian verifies consent by email.
3. What we collect. From Players aged 13 to 17, we collect only: email address, username, date of birth, the parent or guardian’s email address, the consent record, activity information, and device and network identifiers used for security and analytics.
4. What we do not collect. Players aged 13 to 17 cannot make purchases, hold a Balance, use the GB Marketplace, win cash prizes, or obtain Redeemable Items. We therefore do not collect their payment, identity verification, Social Security Number, or shipping information.
5. Limits on use. We do not sell personal information of Players under 18, share it for targeted advertising, use it for targeted advertising, use it for publicity, or send them marketing messages. Their usernames may appear to other Players in Contest results and leaderboards within the Services, as for all Players.
6. Parent and guardian rights. A parent or guardian may review the minor’s personal information, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent, which closes the Account, by emailing [email protected].

4. How We Share Personal Information

In the last 12 months, we disclosed personal information to the following categories of recipients, for the reasons shown.

We may also disclose personal information: (i) when required by law, regulation, subpoena, or court order; (ii) in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case the recipient must honor this Privacy Policy; (iii) to investigate fraud or security incidents or to protect our rights or others’ rights; and (iv) to social media or other third-party services you choose to connect. If you are 18 or older and enter a Contest, we may use your name, username, and likeness for publicity as described in the Publicity section (Section 6.8) of our Terms of Service. We never do this for Players aged 13 to 17. We may disclose de-identified information for any lawful purpose.

5. No Sale or Sharing for Targeted Advertising

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. The Services do not run third-party advertising pixels. If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any required notice and opt-out before the change takes effect. We will never sell, share, or use for targeted advertising the personal information of Players under 18.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Signals

We use cookies and similar technology (such as local storage) on the Services. We use two kinds, and no others:

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party advertising pixels, and we do not use cookies to sell or share personal information.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, parts of the Services may not work. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of sale and sharing where the law requires it. We do not respond to Do Not Track signals.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee security. You are responsible for keeping your password secure.

8. Marketing Messages

We may send Players aged 18 or older newsletters, promotions, and offers. You can opt out through the link in any marketing email. We still send service messages, such as Account, security, and transaction notices.

9. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose we collected it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. For example, we keep tax and transaction records for the periods tax and financial laws require, and custody and Redemption records for as long as we hold a Physical Card and for a reasonable period afterward. When a parent withdraws consent, we delete the minor’s personal information, except what the law requires us to keep.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

1. Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose, and the sources, purposes, and recipients.
2. Access your personal information and receive it in a portable, readily usable format.
3. Correct inaccurate personal information.
4. Delete your personal information.
5. Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. (We do neither; see Section 5.)
6. Limit the use of sensitive personal information.
7. Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
8. Appeal our decision on a rights request.

11. How to Exercise Your Rights

We verify your identity before acting. Provide your name, the email address on your Account, and any other information the law allows us to request. An authorized agent may submit a request for you with a valid power of attorney or other proof of authority the law accepts.

We respond to most requests within 30 to 45 days, depending on where you live, and will tell you in writing if we need more time. If we deny a request, we explain why. You may appeal by writing to the same address; we respond to most appeals within 45 to 60 days, and no later than 90 days. We normally do not charge a fee, but may charge one for a second or later request within 12 months where the law allows.

12. Where We Process Information

GameBlazers is based in Minnesota, and our servers are in the United States. We store and process personal information in the United States.

13. Third-Party Websites

The Services may link to websites or services operated by others, including social media accounts you choose to connect. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Read their privacy policies.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the updated version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will also notify you by email or in the Services.
